1. Our Core Privacy Philosophy

At Chat Verdict (“we”, “our”, or “us”), operating at chatverdict.pro, we treat conversational transcripts with the highest degree of confidentiality and data security. We operate on a strict ephemeral, zero-retention model for raw transcripts.

2. What Data We Process & How It Is Redacted

When you upload a WhatsApp or iMessage export file:

• In-Memory Processing: Uploaded .txt or .zip archives are processed in temporary volatile memory and never written to permanent disk storage.
• Automated PII Redaction: Before any text is passed to our AI pipeline, all phone numbers, email addresses, UK postcodes, and physical street addresses are stripped using regex tokenization.
• Media Exclusion: Photos, voice notes, and videos are ignored and never processed.

3. Zero AI Model Training Guarantee

We access the Anthropic Claude API via enterprise commercial agreements with zero data-retention and zero model training. Your personal conversations are NEVER used to train, tune, or improve foundational AI models.

4. Data Retention & Auto-Deletion Schedule

- Raw Transcripts: Discarded immediately upon completion of report generation (< 60 seconds).
- Generated Reports: Automatically expire and are permanently deleted after 30 calendar days.
- On-Demand Deletion: You may permanently delete your report at any time via the Delete button on the Account page.

5. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you possess:

• The right to be informed about how data is processed.
• The right of access to your generated report data.
• The right to erasure (the “right to be forgotten”).
• The right to withdraw consent at any time.
